Tell me you'll be there Tell me you're the cure • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Buffy gave a smile as she slipped out of her car and looked about. For a Friday afternoon the mall was still pretty empty, but she didn't mind. It would be nice to walk around and shop without having to be constantly bumped into or being the one bumping someone else. Buffy's blonde hair had been straightened that morning, but had more of the 'just-blown-dry' look to it, and her hazel eyes were covered by a pair of sun glasses. Her attire was simple, and comfortable for walking around the mall. A yellow light tank top, a dark gray double breasted drop jacket, Bermuda shorts, and black converse low-tops. Completing her outfit was a Juicy small tote, silver bangles, lightning bolt earrings, and a simple necklace with a dragonfly on the gem. All in all it was an outfit that suited her, and let her be comfortable and look decent while she shopped. Thought Buffy had been avoiding the mall a lot lately, she figured it'd be fun to get out and shop. Shopping always helped to clear her mind from things, and she welcomed that feeling any day. The hardest part of starting to shop though, was choosing which store to go in first. Buffy walked in the mall and looked about, still unsure of which store she should go to first....being that she was usually with friends and just followed them. Whenever she hit the mall alone she was stuck at the front of the store for at least fifteen minutes before she walked around in search of a store. "Now, where should I start?" She asked herself aloud as she looked about, knowing that her stomach was telling her to eat something, but she planned on eating after a little shopping. So there she stood, looking at the mall map trying to choose where to start; typical Buffy.• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • ``Tags Jake! ``Stats Done ``Tunes N/A ``Wardrobe Clicky ``Credit Rebekah at St. Sophia.

Jake Ransom . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Jake climbed out of his 1957 Red Chevrolette and locked it before entering the mall slowly; admiring some of the window displays that faced the parking lot. Jake's outfit consisted of a blue button up shirt with its sleeves rolled up to the crook of his muscular arm, dark blue jeans, blue sneakers, a silver watch, black sunglasses on the top of his black hair so you could see his neon blue eyes and a checkerboard bag over his chest; he had used for school right before he had come here to meet Buffy and hang out. It held his wallet, medicine list, pens, paper and a few notebooks. Jake smiled wide when he spotted Buffy standing by the map of the mall. He made his way over to where she stood and poked her playfully in the side before laughing his sweet laugh. He gave her a smile as he stood beside her and looked at the map with a cute tilt of his head as he thought of where they could go. "How about the food court? I'm starving." He suggested in a playful pleading voice as he rubbed his belly. He laughed softly and turned to look at her to see what she would say.

Tell me you'll be there Tell me you're the cure • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Buffy had been quite lost in thought when she felt someone poke her side. Being that she wasn't exactly as relaxed as she would have wanted to be, she jumped rather quickly at the touch and turned around laughing. Buffy was quite ticklish and her sides were the spots that were the worst. "/Jake! Don't poke me, you know how ticklish I am." She said in a jokingly bossy tone. She gave a smile as she shook her head lightly and watched him rub him stomach and suggest the food court. She gave a tap of her chin as she considered and finally smiled as she gave a shrug. "Well, it's not good to shop on and empty stomach, so lets go get a bite to eat." Buffy said as she gave Jake a hug and raised a brow. "How've you been? We haven't talked in for-EVER." In actuality they'd talked that morning for meeting up at the mall, but she liked to exaggerate her points.• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • ``Tags Jake! ``Stats Done ``Tunes N/A ``Wardrobe Clicky ``Credit Rebekah at St. Sophia.

Jake Ransom . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Jake laughed in amusement when she whined at him not to poke her because she was tick-a-lish. "Y'know, you shouldn't have told me you were tick-a-lish because now I am going to have to tickle you." He scolded her playfully with a smirk that showed off his cute dimples. He smiled wide when she agreed to go eat. "I agree; I can never shop when I am hungry. I find myself wanting to eat the clothing then. And appearantly; the stores frown apon that for some reason." He said with a laugh; obviously joking. "Oh I have been good, really busy with clubs and stuff." He answered her question as he started to lead the way towards the food court. "How about you? How have you been?" He asked her sweetly, tilting his head in curiosity.

Tell me you'll be there Tell me you're the cure • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Buffy raised a brow as she tilted her head to the side. "Really? Well, would you consider not tickling me if I asked you really sweetly not to?" She asked, a sparkle of amusement in her eyes. Anything that'd been keeping her in a down mood had been forgotten, as they always were when she hung out with Jake. At his comments she couldn't help but laugh. "Now why would a store do that?" She asked with feigned curiosity as she joked, giving a smile as she followed him and gave a shrug. "Honestly Jake, I've been better even on some of my worst days." She said as she shook her head, thinking about how she hadn't really been hanging out with anyone, and as she thought about it, the only person she'd actually spoken to other than Jake was Hayden...and that was by accident; but fun. "But I don't want to think about that, I just wanna have a little fun today." • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • ``Tags Jake! ``Stats Done ``Tunes N/A ``Wardrobe Clicky ``Credit Rebekah at St. Sophia.

Jake shrugged and nodded finally. "Fine, I will stop tickling you." He said with an exagerated tone, laughing softly. Jake knew she hadn't been all that. . . happy lately. He wondered why though. He didn't ask though, deciding if she wanted to tell him she would on her own time. Jake laughed and raised his hands in a cute 'I-don't-know.' manor and then laughed. 'Because they want to be able to sell the clothes." He said with an eyeroll. "How ridiculous is that?" He asked with a laugh. Jake started walking slowly towards the food court, gettin hungrier by the minute.

"Thank you." Buffy said with a smile as they walked on. Honestly she seriously didn't want to think about how she'd been doing, because it always made her get very emotional and then she'd either cry or get very angry. Either way it would ruin not only their shopping, but their meal also. She gave a soft laugh as she shook her head. "Well they should know not to sell clothes that look good enough to eat when a hungry person's in the store." She said with a soft smile as she laughed, then shook her head with a smile at his joking and playfully bumped into him. "It's very ridiculous." She said with a nod then looked to Jake as she noticed their nearing the food court. "Pick your poison." She said with a joking smile, waving at the different food spots, indicating that she wanted him to pick.

He laughed and nodded in agreement at her comment about not selling good looking clothes. He turned to look at the options of what they could eat. He saw Taco Bell and pointing to the short line. "How about Taco Bell?" He asked with a shrug before guiding her towards the line slowly. He smiled as they stood in line, he slid his hands into his jean pockets and tried to think of something to say. He decided he would take a risk and see if she was busy next weekend. "So, are you busy next Friday?" He asked her softly, scared of what she would say. Part of him hoped she knew he wanted to ask her out; so if she would say yes she could just say it and make him stop worrying but another part of him didn't want her to know incase she only liked him as a friend.

Buffy gave a nod as she smiled. "Taco Bell is one of my favorites!" She said as she took Jake's arm and pulled him with her as she headed for the line. Buffy had always loved hanging out with Jake, not only was he one of her best friends, but he was one of the few people she actually trusted. She stepped forward in line, then turned to Jake as he inquired as to if she had plans next Friday. Buffy hadn't ever been one to plan that far ahead lately, and she didn't have much experience in answering that question. But she gave a smile as she shook her head. "Nope, I'm free this Friday." She said, then raised a brow in curiosity. "Why do you ask?" Buffy wasn't going to lie and say she didn't like Jake, but she hadn't really ever thought of dating anyone since the whole thing with Will. But she really liked Jake, and knew that hanging out with him was always fun...so if h asked she wasn't going to say 'No.'.

He smiled wide when she hooked his arm around his. It felt nice to know he was so close to her at that moment in time. He looked at her when she answered his question then asked her own. He chewed on his lip in a nervous habit. "I . . . uh, wanted to know maybe if you would like to go see a movie with me." He offered her softly. He was trying not to blush, but it wasn't working very well. He hoped though she would say yes.

Buffy looked at Jake as he spoke, and couldn't help but give a smile. It had been quite some time since anyone had asked her out, and she was actually surprised that she was happy Jake had. She moved forward in the line and looked to Jake with a beaming smile. "I'd love to go to the movies with you." Buffy had been wondering for the longest time how she'd react when some one asked her out, but she was glad that Jake had been the guy to ask her out. She had always had a crush on him; but ignored it because she didn't think he saw her in the same way. This didn't mean he did, but it was a start and she couldn't have been happier about it. "So, about what time should I be ready, and where are we going to meet up at?" She asked with a raised brow as they moved to the front of the line and she began to removed her wallet from her purse, not sure what she wanted to eat yet.

Jake smiled wide at her, obviously relieved and happy with her answer. He moved up in line as well when she did and took out his wallet. He reached over and touched her hand when she went to get her wallet out. "I'll get it." He informed her sweetly; letting her know he would pay for the lunch. "Oh and I was thinking maybe five. . . that way we could go to dinner first then a movie." He told her softly, still a bit shyly and nervously. He wasn't sure if she would consider this a date but he hoped she was because then that would mean she was willingly going on a date with him. Which in return meant she was interested in him. Right? He hoped so.

Buffy looked to Jake and gave a smile as she released her wallet from her grip and nodded. "Thanks." She said with an elegant smile as she looked at him. She couldn't help but adore Jake in a way that most people would have laughed at her for. He was so sweet, and she loved how he was so real; he didn't fake things with her like many people did. She gave her order; nachos and a soft taco. Then nodded to Jake in response to his comment. "That'd be great. I'll be ready at five." She said with a smile, wanting to gush over with joy at how things were turning out. She'd just been thinking her life was going down hill; with the fact that Will was back in town and there were some people pushing her to get back with him. And now she was going to dinner and a movie with Jake next Friday; something she was looking forward to very much.

Jake Ransom Crushing On Buffy . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ]"Sounds good." He said with a wide happy grin. He turned to look at the cashier and ordered a hard taco with a small Sprite. He paid for both of their meals and thanked the lady as he grabbed two trays; handing her one as they scooted down the line towards the food pick up area. He was extremely excited to know that he would be going to a movie and dinner with Buffy. She was a sweet and caring person, unlike most people at this school. "So. . . um. . . its a date then?" He asked her softly, trying to play it cool even though he knew he was failing miserably at that. He just blushed and got all shy when he talked to a girl he liked.
